Willis MGU Verita hires risk execs from Sompo

Verita CSG Inc., the managing general underwriter unit of Willis Towers Watson PLC, said Thursday it has hired Victor Sordillo and Glen O’Connor, formerly with Sompo International Holdings Ltd., to head up its risk advisory services.

Mr. Sordillo was named director of risk advisory services and Mr. O’Connor was named deputy director of risk advisory services, WTW said.

Mr. Sordillo, who is based in Warren, New Jersey, previously was executive vice president, global leadership, at Sompo and Mr. O’Connor, based in New York, was formerly senior vice president, risk control director of technical services at Sompo.

WTW launched Verita last year, headed by former Sompo executive Edward Chiang.
