World Insurance Associates names chief growth officer

World Insurance Associates LLC said Thursday that John Peterson has been named chief growth officer, succeeding Frank Costa, who will move to the newly created role of national growth leader.

Based in Chicago, Mr. Peterson will be involved in driving new business and cross-sell initiatives and will oversee World’s retail sales infrastructure, the broker said in a statement.

Mr. Peterson was most recently executive director of the Winnetka Park District in Winnetka, Illinois. Prior to that he spent almost 32 years with Aon PLC, including leading Aon Financial Services Group, the statement said.
