World Insurance buys broker with trucking, cell tower emphasis

World Insurance Associates LLC on Thursday said it has acquired Volaris Insurance Group LLC.

Terms of the transaction, which closed Dec. 31, 2022, were not disclosed.

Tampa, Florida-based Volaris provides commercial lines coverages with a specialization in the trucking and cell tower industries, a statement said.

Volaris has fewer than 10 full-time employees, the majority of whom have moved over to World, according to an email from a spokeswoman.

World Insurance, based in Iselin, New Jersey, is the 34th-largest broker of U.S. business in the most recent Business Insurance rankings.
