XPT Specialty, a wholesale broker for commercial and personal insurance, has appointed Steve Kass as an Executive Partner.
Kass has over 25 years of extensive experience in the wholesale industry. Most recently, he served as the Executive Vice President at RT Specialty for more than four years, and Senior Vice President at All Risks, Ltd. for nearly a decade.
Throughout his career, Kass has shown skills in overseeing regional operations, cultivating client relationships, and developing new initiatives to meet the market’s diverse and evolving needs.
Earlier in his career he founded, managed, and ultimately sold a South Florida-based wholesale brokerage specialising in P&C insurance.
Under his leadership, the brokerage established a strong reputation for delivering tailored insurance offerings and was eventually acquired by All Risks.
Mark Smith, President of XPT Specialty, commented, “Steve’s deep understanding of emerging risks makes him the ideal leader to drive our continued growth in the P&C space. He will play an essential role in strengthening XPT’s presence and capabilities across the country.”
Kyle Stevens, XPT Specialty’s Executive Partner, added, “In this industry, Steve’s reputation for technical excellence and market relationships is second to none. With his formidable track record, I have no doubt that he will help us raise the bar even further in delivering exceptional P&C solutions to our clients.”
Kass concluded, “I’ve spent my career developing specialised programmes and addressing complex insurance risks and I see tremendous opportunities to expand these capabilities at XPT. What drew me to XPT was its true grasp of the unique risks faced by specific niche markets, and I look forward to combining my strengths alongside this talented team.”
