Zurich hires former wholesaler executive as underwriting chief

Zurich North America on Monday said it has hired Heather Fox, former general counsel and chief brokerage officer at management and professional liability wholesaler ARC Excess & Surplus LLC, as chief underwriting officer.

She replaces Brandon Fick, who joined Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. as chief underwriting officer, global risk solutions North America, last year. She is based in New York.

Prior to joining ARC in 2009, Ms. Fox was chief underwriting officer, executive liability, at American International Group Inc.

She will report to Kristof Terryn, CEO of Zurich North America, the insurer said in a statement.

Peter Caminiti, who served as interim chief underwriting officer, will be U.S. national accounts head of underwriting, the statement said.
