Zurich hires US life science exec from Hartford

Zurich North America said Monday it named former Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. executive Linda Schultz head of life sciences for its U.S. middle-market business unit.

Ms. Schultz will join the industry practices leadership team and report to John Mizzi, head of industry practices, U.S. middle market. She is based in Pittsburgh.

She will be responsible life sciences industry specialization and underwriting expertise for subsegments including medical device manufacturers and providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, research and development labs, and clinical trial administrators.

Ms. Schultz had been head of life science, U.S. product liability for The Hartford.
