Zurich names former Chubb exec to lead US middle-market underwriting

Zurich North America announced Monday it has named former Chubb Ltd. casualty executive Bennett Himes as head of underwriting for U.S. Middle Market.

Mr. Himes replaces John Diaz, who was named head of customer distribution and management in January.

Mr. Himes worked for Chubb for 22 years and held a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, he was executive vice president and casualty practice leader for commercial insurance.

He is based in New York and will report to Alex Wells, head of U.S. Middle Market.
