Zurich names Midwest vice president

Zurich North America said Wednesday it named Trey Martino, formerly with Sompo International Holdings Ltd., as regional vice president for the Midwest region for its U.S. middle-market unit.

Mr. Martino, who will report to John Diaz, chief operating officer, U.S. middle market, will be based in Chicago.

A Zurich spokesman said this had been an open position that Mr. Diaz had filled on an interim basis.

At Sompo International, Mr. Martino most recently served as head of Asia-Pacific for its Global Risk Solutions unit, where he led a team responsible for insurance and reinsurance across 18 countries.
