Zurich names next group chief underwriting officer

Zurich Insurance Group on Thursday named Penny Seach, current chief underwriting officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa, as its next group CUO, effective Jan. 1, 2023.
She will succeed Hayley Robinson, who is stepping down from her role as group CUO at the end of the year due to family health reasons, Zurich said in a statement.
Ms. Seach will continue to be based in Zurich and will report to Sierra Signorelli, CEO of commercial insurance.
Ms. Seach has served as CUO for EMEA since March 2021 and prior to that held various leadership roles across the company. She joined Zurich in 2017 after working at several multinational insurers, including American International Group Inc.
Ms. Robinson joined Zurich in 2018 and was promoted to group CUO in June 2021.
