Zurich North America names head of group captives

Zurich North America announced Monday it has hired Matt Moore, former head of captives at The Hartford, as executive vice president, head of group captives.

Mr. Moore, based in Chicago, will report to Alex Wells, head of U.S. middle market.

Dawn Hiestand previously led group captives at Zurich North America. Earlier this year she joined Artex Risk Solutions, the captive management arm of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., as chief underwriting officer and head of captives.

Mr. Moore joined The Hartford in 2009 as a financial analyst and was named head of captives in 2023.
