Zurich North America names middle-market leader

Zurich North America Thursday named Stan Bernard head of industry practices for U.S. middle market, succeeding Lynn Zeitler, who is retiring in December.

Mr. Bernard will report to Alex Wells, head of U.S. middle market, and be a member of the U.S. middle market senior leadership team.

Mr. Bernard previously was head of the financial institutions and professional services practice for U.S. middle market and joined Zurich in 2021. Prior to that, he held underwriting and management roles at CNA Financial Corp. and Chubb Corp.

He was a 2020 Business Insurance Break Out Award winner.

Ms. Zeitler was named head of industry practices earlier this year and is a 2016 Business Insurance Women To Watch honoree.
