Zurich Singapore names Nixon Ooi as Head of Accident & Health

Zurich Singapore has appointed Nixon Ooi as Head of Accident and Health, reporting to Alexandra Cowley, Chief Underwriting Officer, Singapore.

Ooi’s remit in this role will include leading underwriting, portfolio management and proposition development for Accident & Health.

With over 12 years of industry experience, Ooi joins Zurich from Chubb, where he most recently served as Head of Accident & Health at Chubb, overseeing all aspects of the company’s underwriting operations across the CI A&H lines of business.

Prior to Chubb, he also held underwriting roles at Tokio Marine Life and InterGlobal.

Recently, Zurich disclosed that its group business operating profit (BOP) reached the best-ever performance reporting $4 billion in H1 of 2024, an increase of 7% compared to the same period in 2023.
